A New York house of alcohol-free elixirs, rooted in West African hospitality.

Our Origin

House of Sumayya is a woman-owned maison, founded by Sumayya Abdul-Rahman Yaki and shaped by her Ghanaian heritage. It began with a small fruit grown in Ghana. Taken before a drink, it briefly changes how sweetness and sourness are perceived.

That fruit became the House Key: a heart-shaped tablet whose form draws on Sankofa, the Ghanaian symbol for returning to one's roots.

In West Africa, guests are welcomed with drinks prepared with care. Our elixirs carry that tradition: alcohol-free, made in small batches, and designed to be served, not simply consumed.

The Ritual
